Caught in the middle of a hundred and five The night was heavy but the air was alive But she couldn't find how to push through Carried away by a moonlight shadow Carried away by a moonlight shadow Far away on the other side  마도로스의 음악 감상실 메모 Annie Haslam 영국 아트록 그룹 Renaissance의 리드싱어이자 "천상의목소리" Annie Haslam은 유명한 음악가 집안에서 태어났다 그의 아버지는 가수이자 코미디언이었고, 그녀의 오빠 Michael 는 1960년대 중반 Brian Epstein(브라이언 엡스타인)이 매니저를 맡았던 록앤롤 가수였다. 어린 시절에는 패션디자인에 관심이 많았다고 한다. 대학에 들어와 동네 선술집에서 메리 홉킨의 "Those Were the Days를 부른 것이 사람들의 호응을 얻으면서 가수로서의 길을 모색, 오페라 가수 Sybil Knight 문하에서 공부를 시작한다. 그녀는 곧 오페라 싱어 Sybil Kight 밑에서 공부를 시작했고, 1970년대 후반 Melody Maker에서 광고를 맡으며 Renaissance의 새로운 보컬리스트가 됐다. Haslam의 투명하고 5옥타브까지 올라가는 소프라노는 그룹의 트레이드 마크가 됐다. 그룹을 계속하면서, 그녀는 1977년에 Annie in Wonderland를 프로듀스한 Roy Wood와 함께 솔로 데뷔 음반을 만들었고, 그 앨범 Still Life는 1985년에 발매됐다. 그녀의 셀프 타이틀 솔로 앨범은 1989년에 발매됐다.  Epic에서의 마지막 앨범인 그 앨범이 발매되고 Renaissance는 해산했다. 그녀는 U.S로 이주했고, 거기에서 1993년 유방암을 진단 받았다.  그녀는 고통을 참고 1994년에 Blessing in Disguise를 발매했다. Live Under Brazilian Skies는 5년 뒤에 발매됐다....
